has a strong ethical foundation based on principles of
social and environmental sustainment. We believe that
designers need to accept more responsibility for shaping
the world in which we live, and actively take advantage
of the potential for designed objects to bring about positive
social change through enabling more sustainable behaviours
and ways of living.
At the core of all our work is a desire to make people
question why things are done the way they are, and how
they could be done better. We hope that the objects
and spaces we create go out into the world to make some
kind of worthwhile difference to how people live and
think.
As a business, we are committed to sustainable practice
at every level, from the most basic activities (minimising
our consumption of resources, using recycled paper,
sourcing solar-powered web hosting, running our office
on green electricity etc.), to more involved commitments
such as volunteering our time and skills to help raise
critical discourse within the design community, and
working only with clients who themselves operate ethically
and responsibly. |
